Pepijn van de Ven is a Professor in AI in the department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Limerick (UL), Director of the D2iCE research group (https://d2ice.ie/) and was President of the International Society for Research on Internet Interventions (https://isrii.org/) from Jan 2021 to Dec 2022.

Pepijn has secured numerous national and international research awards totalling more than €2.2 million in funding to UL and is currently UL lead on the Innovation Fund Denmark funded Personal project led by Syddansk Universitet – University of Southern Denmark. Pepijn’s research interests are the application of artificial intelligence and hashtagmachinelearning in internet interventions with a particular focus on the area of eMental Health. Furthermore Pepijn has a keen interest in mobile app development for the Android OS.
