FEMaLer Anna Melgaard’s study went live this week, but in case you missed out previous post, here’s a little more about her 🙂

About Anna:
Anna Melgaard is a Ph.D. student from Aarhus University, Denmark.
Her research is focused on the diagnostic delay of endometriosis and the potential consequences it can cause. In her first study, she found, that women with endometriosis had more contact with the healthcare system already 10 years before receiving the diagnosis, compared to women without endometriosis. In her future studies, she will, among other things, investigate the economic consequences of the diagnostic delay. She is using the Danish registers for her research.

Anna appreciates the opportunity of being a part of FEMaLe and is excited about the great influence the project has on endometriosis research and awareness in general.

And here’s her study
Utilization of healthcare prior to endometriosis diagnosis: a Danish case –control study.
