Negin Jaafar has been practicing as a medical doctor since 2006, specializing in gynecology since 2015. Her passion for endometriosis led her to join the Endometriosis Team at Aarhus Universitets Hospital in 2019.

The team excels in diagnosing and treating endometriosis, a condition that requires a comprehensive approach involving both medical and surgical interventions. They acknowledge that endometriosis can result in anatomical changes, which may potentially result in deep dyspareunia. Additionally, some patient may experience negative effects on their sexuality due to hormonal treatments. To comprehensively address this aspect of patient care, she pursued a master’s degree in sexology. This additional expertise enables her to provide a holistic approach to patients with endometriosis, addressing not only the physical aspects of the disease but also its emotional and psychological impact on women and their partners.

She is dedicated to improving the lives of women affected by endometriosis, and believes that a holistic approach that encompasses all aspects of their well-being, including their sexuality, is essential.
